Events

JTC 1 established a Working Group 15 (JTC 1/WG 15) on JTC 1 Vocabulary with Frank Farance (US) as the convenor and assigned ISO/IEC 2382:2015 to WG 15. Additionally, JTC 1 disbanded AG 18 on Vocabulary.

JTC 1 established a new Advisory Group 21, on JTC 1 Strategic Direction with Jim MacFie (Canada) as the convenor.

JTC 1 approved a new title for JTC 1/WG 14 (Quantum Information Technology) and new terms of reference. Additionally, JTC 1 approved the initiation of a Preliminary Work Item (PWI) within JTC 1/WG 14 on Quantum Simulation, Taxonomy of quantum simulator architectures and quantum simulation programming, and extended the timeframe for ISO/IEC 4879 on Terminology and Vocabulary. JTC 1 also authorized WG 14 to organize a workshop on Quantum Information Technology.


JTC 1 approved a new scope for JTC 1/SC 40, IT Service management and IT governance.

JTC 1 reconstituted Advisory Group 8 (JTC 1/AG 8) on Meta Reference Architecture and Reference Architecture for Systems Integration and instructed instructs its Committee Manager to circulate AG 8 N0585, Meta Reference Architecture, for an eight-week review and comment period by JTC 1 National Bodies, Liaison Organizations, SCs, JTC 1 /WGs and JTC 1/AGs.

The following Advisory Groups and Ad Hoc Groups were also reconstituted:
